Anthony Luti Named A Southern California Super Lawyer

Luti listed as a Super Lawyer By Los Angeles Magazine and Southern California Super Lawyers

Los Angeles, CA February 17, 2004--Anthony Luti, noted Hollywood civil rights and employment discrimination litigator, has been named as a Southern California Super Lawyer by Los Angeles Magazine and Southern California Super Lawyers. Luti was recently selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer for 2004 by votes tabulated and sent to over 65,000 lawyers in Southern California.

Only three per cent of licensed attorneys in Southern California were selected for this award, which includes lawyers from every type of practice including public interest lawyers, in-house counsel, prosecutors and public defenders.

Since establishing the litigation boutique, The Luti Law Firm, a year ago, Luti's multi-faceted litigation practice has gained significant prominence in the Southern California community. Lutis practice encompasses intellectual property, libel and slander defamation, civil rights, wage and hour class actions, employment discrimination, Title VII, securities and business litigation. Luti has been on the forefront of civil rights litigation, being the first to argue in the Ninth Circuit that the Heck exception applicable to Section 1983 false imprisonment statute of limitation cases should be extended to administrative police officer employment hearings. Luti is also actively involved in his community, serving as the vice-president of the Association of African-American Attorneys in Downtown Firms, and sitting on the Board of Directors of the HUEMAN Foundation, an organization dedicated to the empowerment of people of color. Prior to entering private practice, Luti served as a the first African American male law clerk to the Honorable Wiley Y. Daniel in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
